Phonics in Year 1
In Year 1 we will be recapping the Phase 3 sounds and tricky words. Then we will be learning to read the Phase 4 and 5 sounds, along with their tricky words. Here are the links to the Monster Phonics sound mats:
Year 1 Common Exception Words
These are the 45 tricky words the children are expected to read and spell by the end of Year 1. Here is the link to the Year 1 Common Exception Words word mat.
Reading Books
Reading books are changed on a Thursday.
Our Library days will be on Thursday.

PE Days
Year 1's PE days are Wednesday and Friday so the children will need to come into school wearing their PE kits on these days.
