What is the PTFA?

As the name suggests, we are the Parents, Teachers and Friends of St Joseph’s.

If you have any ideas for either things we could buy for the school, or for fund-raising opportunities please come to a meeting or speak to one of the committee - we always appreciate new ideas and fresh input.

Everyone connected with the school is a member of the PTFA and therefore always welcome at meetings.

These meetings are held at least once a term (usually in the evening), with extra get togethers during the run up to events.

The Annual General Meeting, which is held each September, is when the following year’s committee will be elected. In order to stand for a committee post you need to be proposed and seconded either in writing or by someone at the meeting, but you will be welcomed with open arms.

How you can help

• Come along to a PTFA meeting (they usually last about an hour)
• Volunteer to help at an event (even for just an hour, before, after or during)
• Attend and support the events that the PTFA organises
• Source and/or donate raffle prizes
• Bring in donations for fayres
