Updates from Miss Cartwright
Dear Parents of children in Reception
Here are a few updates for you....
Our last 'Show and Tell' session for this term in reception class is today. Show and Tell will resume in the new year where we will be asking the children to bring in items that relate to an experience they would like to share, for example, a birthday, family holiday, day trip, visiting family, Baptism... Thank you for helping your child to think of 'things that work' for Show and Tell recently. We have had some excellent descriptions, explanations and questions from the children!
Reading books will be changed up until Friday this week and Bug Club books have been updated for children who are running low on books. We hope you are enjoying using this fabulous reading resource - we have had some excellent feedback! Bug Club is much loved by the children and really helps support their progress in reading. If anyone needs any help logging into Bug Club, please let me know.
We are sending PE kits home by the end of the week. The children have had great fun learning football skills this half term! If your child does not already have both in their PE bag, please could you make sure they have an indoor and an outdoor PE kit ready for next term, especially as the weather is chillier.
Please could I also say a huge thank you for all of your support this half term. It is a real delight teaching the children in reception class and we are all looking forward to more exciting learning next term!
Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and wonderful New Year!
Kindest regards,
Miss Cartwright
