Phonics in Year 1 

In Year 1 we will be recapping the Phase 3 sounds and tricky words.  Then we will be learning to read the Phase 4 and 5 sounds, along with their tricky words.  Here are the links to the Monster Phonics sound mats:

Year 1 Common Exception Words

Reading books are changed on a  Thursday.

PE Days

Year 1's PE days are Monday and Friday so the children will need to come into school wearing their PE kits on these days.
